When Should I Apply?
You should select the course you wish to undertake and ascertain that you meet all entry requirements. To start the admission process, please click on 'Apply Now' button and fill in the form.
For International students- You may be required to upload documents such as, your recent passport size photo with light background; your transcripts and parchments; proof of English language proficiency (for example IELTS or TOFEL certificate) and first page of your passport that contains your details.
Once we receive the application, we will make an assessment on the basis of the documents submitted. If you fulfil all entry requirements, you will be sent a Conditional Letter of Offer. This CLO will have all details about conditions of enrolment. We advise you to read the offer letter very carefully before you send your acceptance and request for GTE form. You will be required to fill in the GTE requirements form and send it to us with supporting documentary evidence. Once you have submitted the required documentation including GTE form alongwith evidentary documents, we will make an assessment if you fulfil all requirements. If at all we require any more documents or additional information, we will get in touch with you via the email address provided by you on the enrolment form. Once you have been assessed as acceptable for admission, we will send an unconditional Letter of Offer (ULO). You will then be required to deposit the initial amount as described in the offer letter into our nominated bank account to get your eCOE. Once we have received the required deposit, we will proceed to generate e-Confirmation of Enrolment (e-COE). You may proceed to apply for your student visa. You may do it yourself or you have a choice to use a qualified agent. Our list of agents are provided on the website for your ready reference.
For Local students- Local students can apply by sending necessary documents such as transcripts and parchments. You do not require to provide your passport or proof of English language proficiency.
We advise all students to go through our Pre-Enrolment Information Guide before applying for enrolment. Offer letter and Pre-enrolment guide contains refund policy besides other terms and conditions.

How Long Does the Process Take?

Conditional Letter of Offer (CLO) - Within 1 business day
GTE Assessment & Issue of Unconditional Letter of Offer (ULO)- 2 to 3 business days
Issue of e-COE- 1 business day after receiving your required deposit
When Will I Know If I am Accepted?
Once your application has been processed and all necessary documentation and requirements have been met, you will receive the following-
- Unconditional Letter of Offer; and
- e-Confirmation of Enrolment
It is very important that your application and admissions requirements be complete and accurate when they are submitted to Sheffield. This must include our Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirements.
An incomplete application will result in delay while processing.
When Can I Start?
Sheffield has multiple intakes in a year. Contact your international admissions advisor for the next available start date that works best for you to achieve your educational and career goals. Our intakes are generally second monday of every month except in December.
For international students applying from outside Australia, you must take into account the time taken to apply and get the visa approval. Please plan to give approximately 3-4 months for the purpose provided all your documents have been submitted in fulfilment of all requirements. While your visa is being processed, you are advised to read our Pre-Departure Information Guide. You may also visit Study Adelaide website for additional information. Please keep us informed for any delays in visa processing. If you are likely to get delayed for your nominated intake, you will have to apply for the next intake. This is essential because you will have to submit the new eCOE with correct course start date before your visa is approved.
Upon Arrival at Airport
When you arrive for the first time in Australia on a student visa, it is advisable that you bring the following-
- letter of offer from Sheffield
- Confirmation of Enrolment
- Address of the place you are going to stay upon arrival (accommodation)

Airport Pick-up Services
Those students who have chosen to avail our fantastic Airport Pickup services will be met upon exiting the airport with a placard with your name on it. Please approach the person and provide your ID while introducing yourself. The driver will then take you to the accommodation you have pre-arranged. We provide airport pickup services for Adelaide Metropolitan areas only. You may also take your own taxi from the airport.
